Who We Are
Friends of Northern Arizona Forests is a diverse, motivated
group of volunteers and community members, all working
together toward a common goal. Our members come from all
age groups, walks of life, and backgrounds; each brings
unique skills and abilities, yet all sharing the love for
being outdoors and protecting the forests.
Not all of us come from Flagstaff. In fact, some of our most
dedicated volunteers hail from outside the greater
Flagstaff area. Many volunteers drive from the Phoenix area and
beyond to spend a day working with us in the cool high country. So if
you're thinking about joining or taking part in one of our
frequent public workdays, don't let distance stop you! We need your
help, and your effort will be appreciated.
Our Goal
We aim to fill in where the Forest Service does not have the
staff or the funds to accomplish its mission: "Caring for the
land and serving the people.
