For several reasons.
We are glad that you do. One of our goals is to bring together members of diverse groups—both in the field and on the board of directors—so that they will come to understand and trust one another. So please join us—the membership contribution is modest—and bring the experience and enthusiasm of your other organizations into our mix of goals and projects.
Membership is open to all persons who support our goals and purposes. The Home page and the Mission page describe those goals and purposes well. If you would like to see a more formal statement (from the bylaws), click on goals and purposes. (And to see the entire bylaws, click on bylaws.)
Membership contributions for 2010 are the following.
Student: $8; Individual: $15; Family: $20.
Family Membership encompasses immediate family members, including minor children.
If you join on or after October 1st, you can get membership for the remainder of the year plus the following year by making the standard membership contribution for the following year.
In short, on or after October 1st, if you contribute for next year, you get the rest of the current year for free.
Friends of Northern Arizona Forests is a "charitable" organization in the sense of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Membership contributions and donations qualify as tax-deductible.
How do I get started?
